Since August 2018, I have been working as a PhD chemist at the RMS Foundation, where I manage customer projects and research activities in the field of chemical analytics. I am the main point of contact for clients with questions or methodological challenges relating to inorganic and organic (trace) analysis of metals, alloys, polymers and other substances requiring chemical investigation. I am part of the marketing team and responsible for keeping the RMS website upto date. I still enjoy working hands-on in the laboratory, operating our ICP-MS, GC-MS, TOC, DSC and FTIR spectrometer and microscope.
For my diploma thesis at the ETH in Zurich, I focused on mass transport in laser ablation ICP mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). During my doctoral studies at the Institute for Chemical and Bioengineering (ICB) at ETHZ, I developed new FTIR-based methods for in situ investigation of chemical interactions and reactions at solid–liquid interfaces.
Following my academic training, I spent almost ten years working at Bruker Optics in Fällanden, collaborating with research institutions and industrial partners in the DACH region as an application specialist and sales manager in the field of FTIR, FT-NIR and Raman spectroscopy.
In my current role, I combine analytical expertise with practical, solution-oriented consulting. I am committed to being a competent and reliable partner for our clients and collaborators, with a clear focus on precise analytics, transparent results, and application-oriented solutions.
Since 1995, the services of our materials testing laboratory have been accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025. Our QM system is ISO 9001 certified.
