Dr Louize Touati has a background in inorganic chemistry, materials science and biomaterials. She graduated in chemical engineering from ENSCMu, Université de Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse (France), in 2022, where she gained experience in inorganic materials through research at IS2M on hybrid layered talc-like materials and industrial experience at Arkema in Lacq (France) on zeolite formulation.
Between 2022 and 2025, she completed a PhD at the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, within CIRIMAT, in collaboration with IRCER, a research laboratory at the University of Limoges. Her doctoral research focused on calcium phosphates, particularly calcium pyrophosphate materials, to improve their detection and better understand their role in osteoarthritis. The collaboration with IRCER also enabled a specific focus on the development and use of atomic force microscopy (AFM) as a characterization tool.
From February 2026, she has been a postdoctoral researcher at the RMS Foundation, where her work focuses on calcium-phosphate bone graft substitutes and biomaterial-induced osteoinduction.
