Chemical analyses

At the RMS Foundation we can offer you the following services in the area of chemical testing:

Please also note the following services from other categories

Identification/quantification of organic compounds

Various methods can be offered for the identification or quantification of organic/carbon-based compounds (also in complex matrices):

  • Material impurities, foreign substances
  • Additives (e.g. plasticizers in polymers)
  • Incoming goods inspection and quality control
  • Composition of products (competitive analyses)
  • etc.

Contact us and we will discuss your individual questions.

Standard(s): various
  • Fourier transform infrared / FTIR microscopy (NL-21)
  • Determination of the cleanliness of medical devices (NL-31)
  • Particle analysis: How to characterise particles generated under dynamic loading of medical devices (NL-34)
  • TOC/TIC/TN: Quantitative analysis of dissolved organic and/or inorganic carbon as well as nitrogen (NL-36)
Equipment: GC-MS/MS / TOC, TIC, TN / FT-IR microscope

Titrimetric analyses

Description: Calculation of an unknown quantity of a dissolved substance after reaction with a reagent solution and exact measurement of the volume of the consumed reagent solution and consideration of the content of the active substance. The substance to be determined is quantitatively transferred from a chemically precisely defined initial state to an equally defined final state.
Standard(s): not accredited
Equipment: Metrohm Titrando 907

Determination of the pH value

Description: Determination of the acidity or alkalinity (pH value between 0 and 14) of an aqueous solution.
  • DIN 19268
Equipment: Metrohm Titrando 907
