Static and dynamic testing, Materials Group

Stefan Röthlisberger joined the RMS Foundation in May 2020 as a member of the Bio & Structural Mechanics team and is responsible for services in the field of static and dynamic testing.
After his basic training as a precision mechanic and a longer professional stay in the USA, he passed the higher professional examination to become a master mechanic. He continuously expanded his knowledge in the optimisation of existing processes and the introduction of new manufacturing technologies. Later he changed to the medical technology industry and managed projects for the implementation of new production centres as well as worldwide production relocations.
He also worked as a product development engineer on the new and further development of surgical instruments. His tasks ranged from design evaluation of prototypes in anatomy labs with surgeons to the preparation of product documentation to ensure compliance with national and international regulations.
