The mechanical behaviour and the anchoring of the implants in a changing biological system still need to be clarified and optimised.
In the centre of the biomechanical research activities of the RMS are the testing and simulation of the function of the implants and of the implant–bone compound as principle study for the further development as well as the quality assessment.
