The RMS promotes and does research in the fields of biomechanics, materials, tribology, interfaces, skeletal substitute materials, biology as well as tissue engineering. In cooperation with interested research groups from university institutes, clinics and companies, the RMS endeavours to find innovative solutions efficiently. The objective of the RMS research is to optimise the functional, material- and surface-specific properties of technical and medical products as well as to persistently broaden its own know-how.
